What does the VuMATRIX FX Transmitter do?
It takes any HDMI source (cable box, Blu-ray, camera, PC) and sends the video over your IP network to one or many VuMATRIX receivers, allowing any display in the building to show any source on demand.
What receiver do I need?
Pair it with the VuMATRIX FX Receiver. Each receiver decodes the stream back to HDMI for a single display. You can use as many receivers as you need — there is no limit.
What is the maximum distance?
100 meters over Cat5e/Cat6 cable, or up to 60 kilometers over single-mode fiber using an SFP module. Both options are supported on the same unit.
Does it support Power over Ethernet (PoE)?
Yes. The TX draws only 15 W and can be fully powered by a PoE switch (802.3af), eliminating the need for a local AC outlet. A 12 V DC adapter is also included as a fallback.
Can it create a video wall?
Yes. Group multiple VuMATRIX receivers together in the free app to build video walls of any size with picture-in-picture, mosaic layouts, and 90°/180°/270° rotation — no additional hardware needed.
How many sources can I put on one network switch?
As many as you have ports. Each TX occupies roughly 20–30 Mbps of bandwidth. A standard 24-port gigabit managed switch can handle dozens of sources and receivers simultaneously.
How does this compare to an HDMI splitter or matrix switcher?
Traditional HDMI splitters and matrix switchers are limited to short cable runs (15 m) and fixed port counts. VuMATRIX uses your network — unlimited distance, unlimited endpoints, no proprietary chassis, and you can add sources or displays at any time.
