The kit contains 1 VuMATRIX FX Transmitter and 8 VuMATRIX FX Receivers. You supply eight displays and a managed PoE switch with at least 9 ports, then configure the wall in the free VuMATRIX app.
Can I reconfigure the 4×2 layout or expand it?
Yes. You can rearrange the eight receivers into a 2×4, 8×1, or any other geometry through the app. Add more receivers to grow to 4×3, 5×2, or beyond — no hardware swap required.
What kind of network switch do I need for 9 units?
A managed gigabit PoE switch with IGMP snooping and at least 9 PoE ports. A 16-port or 24-port managed PoE switch is recommended to leave room for future expansion.
Do I need an external video-wall processor for 8 screens?
No. Every VuMATRIX receiver has built-in wall processing. The free app groups all eight receivers into the 4×2 grid with PiP, mosaic, and rotation — no external controller box or license fees.
Can displays be in different rooms or different floors?
Yes. Each receiver connects independently over Cat6 (up to 100 m) or fiber (up to 60 km). Displays can be spread across rooms, floors, or even separate buildings and still form one synchronized wall.
