How is the VeCODER different from several VeCASTERs?
The VeCODER puts 4 to 16 encoder channels in one 1RU chassis with a single power supply, network port, and web interface — cleaner, denser, and easier to manage than a stack of single-channel VeCASTER units, though both produce the same professional streams.
Are the channels truly independent?
Yes. Each HDMI input has its own hardware encoder and its own stream settings — resolution, bitrate, protocols, and logos are configured per channel.
Why H.264 instead of HEVC here?
H.264 offers the broadest device compatibility and is ideal where bandwidth is not the constraint. If you need to fit more channels on a fixed network, choose the VeCODER ULTRA H.264/H.265 for HEVC efficiency.
Do I need an external streaming server?
No. The VeCODER includes its own gigabit hardware streaming server, so it streams directly on your LAN or to the internet with no monthly fees.
How do viewers watch the channels?
On IP set-top boxes, smart-TV apps, VLC, or our VePLAYER decoders for any HDMI TV. Multicast lets unlimited in-house devices watch without extra load.
Can I distribute these channels over coax?
