The VeCODER ULTRA 4K H.264 brings multichannel Ultra-HD encoding into one chassis. Each HDMI input runs its own 4K hardware encoder and its own multi-stream output, managed from a single web interface. H.264 keeps every 4K channel broadly compatible across IP boxes, smart TVs, and signage players.

Several 4K Channels, One Box

Build a premium UHD lineup without a rack full of single-channel encoders — every channel behaves like its own professional 4K unit.

  • M3U8/HLS, RTMP(S), RTSP, HTTP, UDP/RTP, SRT · unicast & multicast
  • Built-in gigabit streaming server — no external server, no per-seat fees
  • Unified web management · 24/7 redundant-grade cooling

VeCODER ULTRA 4K H.264 — FAQ

How many 4K channels can it encode?
Choose 2, 4, 6, or 8 independent 4K channels, each with its own HDMI input and its own hardware encoder, in a single 1RU chassis.
Why fewer channels than the HD VeCODER?
4K requires far more processing and bandwidth per channel than HD, so the 4K model is offered in 2–8 channel densities to keep every channel broadcast-stable.
Should I use H.264 or HEVC for 4K?
H.264 is broadly compatible; HEVC roughly halves the bitrate, which matters a lot at 4K. If bandwidth or channel count is tight, choose the VeCODER ULTRA 4K H.264/H.265.
Do I need an external streaming server?
No. The built-in gigabit hardware server streams directly on your LAN or the internet with no monthly fees.
How do I show 4K on TVs?
Use 4K IP set-top boxes, smart-TV apps, or our VePLAYER 4K decoders. To send 4K over existing coax, pair with the INFINIUM 4K headend.
What bandwidth does each 4K channel use?
Typically 15–40 Mbps per 4K H.264 channel depending on content; HEVC roughly halves that on the H.264/H.265 model.
Can I mix HD and 4K?
Use the VeCODER HD models for HD channels and the 4K models for UHD, or distribute everything together through the INFINIUM 4K headend.
