VeCOAX Micromod 3+ SDI Instructions
If you are installing Multiple Minimods together
Please see the MULTIPLE UNIT INSTRUCTIONS
below on this page
Single Unit Quick Installation
IF you are merging the micromod 3+ SDI
with other coaxial TV channels,
FIRST find out a FREE CHANNEL
not used on your TV channel list
so channels will not jam each other.
Look on your TV channel list
for an UNUSED channel number.
At first, connect the Micromod 3+ SDI DIRECTLY on your TV with a short piece of coaxial cable
2) You do not need to connect any HDMI input at this stage
3) Check on the Micromod 3 + SDI Display it shows the CORRECT Channel Name & Numbers you want.
You should see a color-bars test pattern like the one below:

8) Move the Micromod 3+ SDI to the first Coaxial junction box splitter near the TV
Connect the Micromod 3+ SDI to the splitter so the Micromod 3+ SDI channel signal reaches all TVs through the splitter.
See the diagram below:

- If yes — rescan all other TVs to find the MINIMOD 2+ channel, following the same procedure used on the first TV.
Multiple Units Quick Installation
IF YOU USE A COAX AMPLIFIER
READ THIS FIRST:
Otherwise, skip this section.
if you combine multiple Micromod 3+ SDI
then feed an amplified splitter,
and when you connect more than one minimod all channels stop working
This is typically caused by the combined signal being too strong for the amplifier's input.
Solution-1:
On the Micromod 3+ SDI COLOR DISPLAY
MAIN MENU>CHANNEL SETUP > RF OUT LEVEL
Reduce the RF output level on every MINIMOD to the minimum setting.
This will reduce the MIXED signal of all Micromod 3+ SDI to your Amplifier
preventing signal distortion.
If needed use a Coaxial attenuator connector of 10 decibels between the mixed Micromod 3+ SDI and the coaxial amplifier input
Solution-2:
ByPass your amplifier and go direct from the combined Micromod 3+ SDI to the TVs.
The Micromod 3+ SDI signal is already very strong and usually does not require an amplifier.
Solution-3:
Try using HIGHER FREQUENCIES, starting from 500 Mhz up for your Micromod 3+ SDI
This often resolves compatibility issues with older combiners.
You can use higher-frequency channels while still setting your MAJOR/MINOR numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 3) for the TV remote.
The RF frequency and the displayed channel number are independent settings.
You can always set the TV program number with MAJOR/MINOR numbers on the
Micromod 3+ SDI MAIN MENU > CHANNEL SETUP > MAJOR Number & MINOR number

(A) Prepare your Micromod 3+ SDI ON Different Channels
To merge multiple Micromod 3+ SDI over the same coaxial each must be set to a different channel so they do not Jam each other
(B) Install Your Micromod 3+ SDI one by one
At first, connect each Micromod 3+ SDI DIRECTLY on one TV with a short piece of coaxial cable
2) No need to connect the SDI input
3) Check on the Micromod 3+ SDI Display it shows the CORRECT Channel Name & Numbers you want.

- If yes — rescan all other TVs to find the Micromod 3+ SDI channel, following the same procedure used on the first TV.
Repeat from step 1 for each Micromod 3+ SDI, one by one, so if there is an issue you'll be able to troubleshoot that easily
